Job summary

Arm Staff Subsystem Design Engineer is sought to develop subsystem solutions and IP for next-generation AI platforms. You will analyse requirements, design and integrate IP, and collaborate across architecture, verification, and implementation teams to deliver high-quality designs.

You will drive design quality checks, optimize power, performance and area, and work in a global engineering organization to advance Arm's AI technology.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in digital RTL design and microarchitecture development using SystemVerilog and Verilog.
• Strong track record delivering sophisticated IP or RTL subsystem designs.
• Knowledge of AMBA protocols and low-power design methods (UPF).

Responsibilities

• Analyse architectural and system specs and refine solutions with architects.
• Develop subsystem and IP microarchitectures from high-level requirements.
• Design and integrate IP and subsystems, and reuse existing Arm/third-party IP.
• Ensure robust interfaces and system-level interactions within subsystems.
• Maintain design intent and timing constraints, including UPF when applicable.
• Perform design quality checks: Lint, CDC, RDC, X-propagation, and synthesis.
• Collaborate with verification to review test plans and debug issues.
• Coordinate with implementation, power and performance teams to meet targets.
• Improve design flows and drive timely delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and participate in design reviews.
