Samsara is seeking a hands-on Staff Software Engineer to turn Telematics products into major businesses. You will work directly with customers to shape solutions, test ideas, and deliver with engineering, design, and product teams.

This leadership role focuses on architectural decisions, scalability, and building products customers depend on at scale. You will own critical-path code, guide technical direction, and mentor engineers while driving rapid learning and reliable growth across the

Qualifications

Experience shipping customer-facing software products and driving measurable outcomes.
Strong product judgment with evidence-based decision making.
Deep hands-on software engineering experience in production systems.
Experience scaling products and the systems behind them.
Technical leadership across team boundaries and cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with customers and customer-facing teams to identify unmet needs and define success metrics.
Lead end-to-end initiatives from discovery to production rollout and iteration.
Write and ship production code across services and APIs as needed.
Set technical direction and align required teams to deliver it.
Ensure production quality, reliability, and scalable performance with safe rollouts.
Mentor engineers and remove obstacles to delivery through design reviews and context sharing.
