Job summary

Cloudbeds, a global hospitality tech leader, seeks a Staff Software Engineer for Revenue Intelligence. You will shape technical direction across customer-facing apps, data pipelines, and ML workflows while remaining hands-on.

Expect broad ownership, strong architecture, and collaboration with product, data science, and security teams to drive measurable value for hoteliers. You will influence platform evolution and improve reliability, security, and operability, enabling scalable solutions

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership across production systems.
• Strong Python expertise across ecosystems.
• Deep architecture and distributed-systems fundamentals (APIs, event-driven workflows, scalability).
• Experience with data-intensive systems and batch/streaming pipelines.
• Experience designing/operating recommendation systems or ML platforms.
• Cloud and platform engineering across AWS, containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, CI/CD, observability, security.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and align teams around decisions.
• Strong product judgment and customer empathy to connect tech investments to outcomes.
• Business-level English and experience in a remote, distributed org.

Responsibilities

• Set and evolve the technical strategy for Revenue Intelligence.
• Lead design and delivery across web apps, APIs, data pipelines, and analytics storage.
• Identify and resolve risks in scalability, reliability, security, and data quality.
• Modernize legacy systems and migrations with minimal disruption.
• Partner with product, data science, security, and infra leaders to define platform direction.
• Remain hands-on in code, spikes, reviews, and incident response.
• Elevate engineering quality through standards, docs, and learning.
