Perk is seeking a Staff Engineer to own the technical direction across Flights engineering. You will shape architectural choices and align product and engineering managers to translate goals into actionable plans.

This role blends backend work with AI-enabled development, requires hands-on coding, mentorship, and responsibility for production systems. We operate with a strong IRL-first culture and 3 days onsite.

Formación

• End-to-end ownership of features from conception to deployment and measurement of impact.
• Ability to coordinate across product, design, and engineering managers to set priorities.
• Strong architectural judgment for scalable, evolvable systems.
• Experience running services in production with monitoring and incident response.
• Background in travel/flight domain is a plus but not required.
• Hands-on backend focus with capability to contribute across the stack.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising the capabilities of teams.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled development and code review practices.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical vision across multiple squads and translate goals into executable plans.
• Coordinate with product and engineering managers to align roadmaps and priorities.
• Design scalable architectures and drive implementation across services.
• Lead observability, reliability practices, and post-incident reviews.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and raise team capabilities.
• Collaborate across boundaries to ensure delivery of high-impact features.
• Apply AI-enabled workflows to accelerate development and quality.
