Job summary

Addepar is seeking a staff software engineer to join the Alternatives Data Management team. You will own the end-to-end delivery of complex ADM initiatives and lead designs for new products, while mentoring engineers and promoting best practices.

This role requires strong ownership, independent work, and experience with cloud platforms and IaC. You will collaborate across teams to resolve architecture and infrastructure challenges, communicating strategy to both technical and non-technical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Extensive software engineering experience.
Track record of leading technical initiatives from design through delivery.
Comfortable working independently with a bias for action.
Experience with AWS or another cloud platform and IaC (Terraform).
Experience with object-oriented programming and financial services knowledge.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-month ADM initiatives across teams.
Lead technical designs for new products and workflow solutions aligned with strategy.
Write exemplary, highly performant, scalable code and frameworks.
Evangelize and promote best engineering practices.
Serve as primary technical point of contact; collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
Mentor engineers, identify skill gaps and influence their growth.
Communicate technical strategy and architectural direction clearly to engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
