Job summary

Anthropic Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to safeguard large-scale AI systems and maintain trust across research, training and production environments.

You will design and implement network security controls, IAM, mTLS, and secure-by-design CI/CD, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and product teams to uphold security requirements from day one.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of software engineering experience in critical systems at scale.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python or a systems language (Go, Rust, or C/C++)
• Experience with DevOps and cloud automation, infrastructure as code
• Hands-on network security engineering in cloud or on-prem environments
• Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment for multi-cloud systems
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence

Responsibilities

• Build security for large-scale AI clusters across clouds and data centers (IAM, network segmentation, encryption).
• Design and implement network security controls (ingress/egress, private connectivity, firewall policy, mTLS).
• Deliver secure defaults via infrastructure as code and GitOps workflows.
• Create visibility into traffic and detect boundary drift with automated remediation.
• Contribute to secure-by-design CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes security expertise.
• Assess risk across multi-cloud environments and align topology with security requirements.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and growth of the Security team
