Deel, a leading global payroll and HR platform, seeks a Staff Product Manager to own a significant slice of the payroll experience. You will work with two engineering squads, shaping a scalable, global framework that delivers accurate, self-serve payroll across countries.

You will map local country rules into configurable, world-ready solutions, obsess over metrics like touchless payroll and submission time, and drive impact with data and AI-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience leading complex problems.
• Ability to operate with minimal direction and own outcomes.
• Strong data-driven decision making and analytical ability.
• Systems thinking across product, engineering, and operations.
• Comfort using AI tools to inform decisions and designs.
• Fast, iterative delivery mindset with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Own vision, strategy, and metrics for payroll experience across two squads.
• Challenge current payroll processes and map to a simplified, scalable design.
• Build global frameworks enabling country-specific requirements via configuration.
• Own KPIs: touchless payroll, accuracy, time-to-submit, country coverage.
• Translate complexity into well-scoped work across clients, payroll ops, compliance, and engineering.
• Use AI actively to inform research, synthesis, and decision documents.
