Job summary

Fanatics is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Platform team to define the technical direction of a trading platform, building scalable, low-latency infrastructure and standards. You will own delivery from ideation to production, mentor engineers, and ensure security and observability are baked into the platform as we scale.

You will balance hands-on development with architectural leadership, lead complex projects, and collaborate with exchange and product teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex technical projects and delivering production software.
• Hands-on with cloud-native platforms, reliability and scale.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into clear technical direction and drive delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of tools, services and automation for reliability and developer experience.
• Evolve architecture of cloud-native infra balancing performance, reliability and cost.
• Set direction for CI/CD and developer tooling while staying hands-on.
• Lead load-testing environments, mock services and integrations.
• Shape AI-augmented development standards and validate AI-generated code for quality and security.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across teams.
