Job summary

Fanatics Markets is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to help build and operate a real-money prediction and trading platform. You will set technical direction, design durable platform abstractions, and partner with senior engineers, product leadership, and managers to enable rapid, secure product delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering or DevOps.
• Expert proficiency in using AI collaborators (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to ship production code.
• Strong IaC knowledge with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Java and Python proficiency with a full-stack background.
• Experience building mature CI/CD pipelines and observability.

Responsibilities

• Define and document enterprise-wide standards for AI integration and platform tooling.
• Lead design and evolution of highly available, scalable infrastructure.
• Architect robust CI/CD ecosystems and developer tooling.
• Mentor engineers and drive incident management and fault-tolerance practices.
• Ensure security and compliance across engineering platforms.
• Translate complex requirements into scalable platform solutions.
