Job summary

Nuffield Health’s Woking Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse – Pre-Assessment to join on a bank basis, with ad-hoc hours and weekend work. You’ll support consultant-led, matron-led care, perform pre-operative assessments and ensure patient comfort and safety.

As a Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse, you’ll be registered with the governing body (NMC) and bring post-registration experience. The role emphasises teamwork, high standards of care, and flexible hours to cover the needs of the service.

Qualifications

• You must be registered with the appropriate governing body, including NMC.
• With post-registration experience, you’re a team player with a passion for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a close-knit team delivering matron-led care in a consultant-led service
• As the first point of contact you will work with leading talent and professionals to make the right assessments for patients prior to their surgery
• Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure patient care
• Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family
• Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care
• Build your experience across new practices, equipment and facilities
• Work with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

Woking Hospital Our Woking Hospital is a leading private hospital in Surrey, South East England. We are registered for 27 beds with en-suite facilities on the Ward, two Theatres with facilities including lamina flow and one Minor Operating Theatre, Pre-Assessment, Physiotherapy clinic, Onsite Pharmacy, Mammography, Xray and Ultrasound, with nine consulting rooms in Outpatients.
