Job summary

Nuffield Health Woking Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Pre-Assessment service on a bank/ ad-hoc basis, including weekend work. You will be the first point of contact, performing pre-operative assessments and supporting patients and families with compassionate care.

You must be registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC) and bring post-registration experience. We offer holiday pay in line with the Working Time Directive, a pension scheme, and a discounted gym membership.

Qualifications

• Registered with governing body (NMC) and relevant qualifications.
• Experience in pre-assessment or perioperative care is desirable.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate pre-assessment for patients prior to surgery.
• Demonstrate broad knowledge and assessment skills to ensure patient care.

As a Staff Nurse in our hospital, you'll be attentive, focused, detail-oriented and empathetic. You're registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post-registration experience, you're a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

As a Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse, you will:

• Be part of a close-knit team delivering matron-led care in a consultant-led service
• As the first point of contact you will work with leading talent and professionals to make the right assessments for patients prior to their surgery
• Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure patient care
• Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family

• Build your experience across new practices, equipment and facilities
• Work with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key
