Staff Nurse - CAMHS

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join the Galaxy House team.

Galaxy House is an expanding service providing care for young people with complex physical and emotional issues. The role requires motivation and passion for working with young people experiencing mental health challenges. The department is located within the grounds of the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and is QNIC accredited. We care for young people up to 18 years old in a twelve-bed facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a focus on Children and Young People's Mental Health. Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in Mental Health Nursing or Children's Nursing, or hold an RN qualification, with CAMHS experience. Demonstrable interest and experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health are essential. We offer a comprehensive induction program, with annual appraisals aimed at developing your skills and knowledge.

Job summary

Main duties of the job
  • Provide direct patient care

  • Participate in personal development and appraisal processes, including structured preceptorship for newly qualified staff
