Job summary

NHS Highland in Wick is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the Bignold Ward at Caithness General Hospital. You will work in a busy 24-bed post-acute and rehabilitation ward, caring for patients with stroke, neurological, orthopaedic and elderly care needs, delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.

You will be supported to undertake further training, work with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to rehabilitation goals, and provide pressure area and personal care.

Job description

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic qualified Nurse to join our friendly team within the Bignold Ward at Caithness General Hospital Wick.

We are a busy 24 bed post acute and rehabilitation ward. We care for a variety of complex conditions such as stroke and neurological conditions, orthopaedics and elderly care, this has led our team to develop an advanced skill set in many different areas of nursing.

As a staff nurse you will be supported in completing further training and gaining the experience needed to deliver a high standard of evidence based patient centred care. You will be working closely with the multi-disciplinary team and will play a key role in implementing rehabilitation goals. You will also be an essential team member by supplying pressure area care and personal care to vulnerable patients.

This is a full time post available working a rotational day/night duty contract as required.
