Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of embedded monitoring and industrial instrumentation products. You will translate complex requirements into robust mechanical solutions that meet performance, environmental, regulatory, manufacturing, reliability, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience developing industrial, electronic, or embedded hardware products from concept through production.
• Proven experience designing complex mechanical systems, enclosures, assemblies, and industrial products.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, tolerance analysis, environmental protection, thermal management, and reliability engineering.
• Experience with sheet metal, machined components, castings, injection mouldings, seals, gaskets, fasteners, and assembly design.

• Lead mechanical design and development of embedded monitoring, sensing, recording, and industrial instrumentation products.
• Translate requirements into robust mechanical solutions meeting performance, environmental, regulatory, and cost objectives.
• Design and review enclosures, thermal management solutions, mounting systems, cable management, and packaging components.
