Job summary

Lumacron Technology, LTD in Edinburgh, UK is expanding its European Headquarters and seeking talented Software Engineers for full‑stack development including embedded drivers, API and GUI. You will collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to drive the architecture, design and verification of our network monitoring products.

Ideal candidates have a degree in CS/Engineering and 10+ years in Linux-based embedded software, strong OO language skills (C++, Java), CI/CD experience, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, Eng or equivalent required.
• 10+ years Linux-based embedded software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in at least one OO language (C++, Java).
• Experience architecting scalable, maintainable software.
• Solid CI/CD knowledge.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with FPGA-based hardware and telecom/data products.
• Familiarity with Telecoms framing and packet structures (OTN, SONET/SDH, PDH, Ethernet).
• Knowledge/experience of VHDL or Verilog.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and verify software in Lumacron's flagship products.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to colleagues.
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams across multi-disciplinary projects.
• Contribute to expansion of the product portfolio.
