Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking a Hardware Engineer in Edinburgh to design and validate high-speed digital electronics, FPGA solutions, and embedded software. The role includes building automated tests in Python and creating customer-facing reports.

You will support customers with evaluations, demonstrations, and training, and represent the company at events, feeding feedback into development. A degree in Electronics and hands-on hardware bring-up are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related subject.
• Exposure to schematic capture and hands-on hardware bring-up.
• Experience with C, Python and FPGA design is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate high-speed digital electronics, FPGA solutions, embedded software and application software.
• Build and automate product testing and characterisation using Python, developing repeatable test plans and customer-facing technical reports.
• Support customers and partners with technical evaluations, demonstrations, training, integration and first-line technical support.
• Represent the company at customer sites, trade shows and industry events, feeding customer insight back into product development and engineering
