Job summary

AMD seeks experienced software engineers to design and implement embedded firmware for networking products in its Cambridge, UK office. You will collaborate with silicon teams to refine RTL models, work with host driver teams to develop high-performance network stacks, and partner with system test to drive products to release.

The ideal candidate has extensive C experience, proficiency in Python, and deep knowledge of embedded software and debugging at the hardware/software interface.

Qualifications

• 7+ years software experience in silicon or networking.
• Proven C development experience.
• Experience with Python and scripting.
• Strong communication skills.
• Hardware/software co-design experience.
• Experience with Ethernet and TCP/IP.
• Embedded systems with device drivers.
• Knowledge of PCI-Express server architectures.
• Experience with Linux systems.
• Experience with digital design (EDA tools, Verilog, VHDL).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded firmware for AMD networking products.
• Collaborate with Cambridge and AMD teams to refine designs and model RTL.
