Monzo Bank Limited is seeking a Staff Engineer (L60) to join our engineering org in London or remotely across the UK. You’ll contribute to backend systems, work in cross-functional squads, and help shape core banking platforms using Go, Java, Cassandra, Kafka and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a backend engineer on a technology product.
• Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software.
• Experience with Go, Java, C, or Scala is a plus.
• Ability to work in a squad with cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across disciplines to test hypotheses and impact customers.
• Build and support a specific part of Monzo’s backend services in a cross-functional squad.
• Work with product managers, designers, researchers and engineers to deliver reliable software.
