Monzo is seeking Backend Engineers to join our squads and help build a scalable, in-house banking platform. You’ll work with product managers, designers, data analysts and more to deliver reliable backend services that customers rely on daily.

You’ll be exposed to a broad tech stack (Go, Cassandra, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, React) and will join a culture that values open source, experimentation and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend for a production product.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional squad.
• Comfort with ambiguity and learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your squad and other disciplines to make a difference to customers.
• Build and support a specific backend service within Monzo.
• Contribute to tooling and practices across the team to improve reliability.
