Job summary

Sodexo Live! is seeking a Retail Catering Manager to lead the public bar and retail beverage service at Blackburn Rovers. You will oversee 35 bar units, two fan zones and matchday events, driving revenue, managing stock, and leading a large casual team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

The role requires proven leadership in high-volume hospitality, strong commercial focus, and a hands-on approach to live events. Evening, weekend, and matchdays flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in high-volume catering, hospitality, or stadium environments.
• Proven ability to manage stock, ordering, rotation and costs to drive profit.
• Familiarity with EPOS systems and operational reporting for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead all public bar and beverage operations across the venue.
• Manage stock ordering, controls, rotation and monthly stocktakes.
• Drive beverage sales, profitability and gross margin performance.
• Ensure bars are fully prepared and operational for events.
• Recruit, train, motivate and develop casual event teams.
• Manage labour budgets and staffing levels.
• Champion Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
• Deliver operational plans for matchdays, concerts and events.
• Use data to drive performance improvements and customer experience.
