Newcastle United Football Club is seeking a reliable Cleaning Assistant to join our Venue Operations team. This permanent, full-time role focuses on cleaning and preparing event rooms across St. James’ Park, ensuring spaces are clean, welcoming and ready for events and match days.

You’ll work independently and with colleagues, including some evenings, weekends, and public holidays. We value pride in high standards, teamwork and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning or similar role.
• Relevant cleaning qualification such as NVQ Level 2 is beneficial but not essential.
• Good time management and reliability are important.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation are valued.

Responsibilities

• Clean, prepare and maintain event rooms to high standards.
• Carry out general cleaning duties: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and follow health and safety guidelines.
• Provide cleaning support before, during, and after home matches and events.
• Deliver consistent, welcoming environments for guests and staff.
