Job summary

First Response Group is seeking a Crowd Safety Steward for a major football and events venue in Watford. You will be on the front line, helping create a safe, welcoming environment and supporting event operations from arrival through departure.

The role requires professionalism, awareness and strong customer service, with the ability to stay calm in busy venues and work flexible event schedules. A Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Spectator Safety Certificate required.
• Professional and approachable attitude.
• Ability to remain calm in busy, high‑pressure environments.
• Reliability and flexibility to work event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming spectators and providing clear directions and assistance
• Monitoring crowd movement within concourses, seating areas and entrances
• Managing queues and access points during peak periods
• Identifying and reporting safety risks or unusual behaviour
• Supporting emergency and evacuation procedures when required
• Working closely with supervisors and control room teams
