Ceres Power is seeking a Stack Manufacturing Engineer to drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment for fuel cell and electrolyser stacks. You will lead NPI activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure cost-effective production across sites.
You will apply DFMA, develop documentation, and monitor process capability using SPC and Cp/Cpk to deliver high-quality products.
Ceres Power is a global leader in solid oxide technology, driving the clean energy revolution. Our steel-supported fuel cell and electrolyser technology gives partners a decade of development advantage, accelerating innovation in power generation, green hydrogen, and distributed power solutions for data centres. Trusted by some of the world's most progressive companies, our proven designs deliver efficient, low-cost solutions backed by over 5 million test hours. At Ceres, innovation is in our DNA. Join us and be part of a world-class team making a positive impact on the planet.
As a Stack Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, implementing and continuously improving the manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling used in the production of fuel cell and electrolyser stacks. Working closely with Production, Design, Quality, Test, Systems and Supply Chain teams, as well as external partners, you will support new product introduction (NPI), industrialisation, technology transfer and day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, capable and cost-effective processes that consistently deliver high-quality products across Ceres and partner manufacturing sites.
You will lead manufacturing engineering activities through the full NPI lifecycle, provide production engineering support by resolving technical issues and driving root cause corrective actions, and specify, commission, validate and optimise manufacturing equipment and tooling. Applying Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles, you will enhance product manufacturability and production efficiency, while developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process specifications, PFMEAs and control plans. Using data-driven techniques such as SPC, Cp/Cpk and process capability analysis, you will monitor and improve manufacturing performance, support the creation of manufacturing document packs for strategic partners, and ensure manufacturing processes are successfully scaled from prototype development through to high-volume production.
