Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Manager, Site Reliability Engineer to oversee a team of engineers supporting Card Transaction Services and Faster Payments. You will lead day-to-day operations, mentor staff, and drive reliability initiatives in a live production environment.

Strong BASE24 and related mainframe tooling experience is highly desirable. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders and a focus on continuous improvement in a payments context.

Qualifications

• Leads a small team of engineers, providing day-to-day leadership and coaching.
• Experience with production support in financial services or payments.
• Experience with recruitment, onboarding and development of engineers.
• Understanding of ITIL change and release management; familiarity with Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to team members.
• Support recruitment, interviewing, selection and onboarding of new team members.
• Promote engagement, wellbeing and retention within the team.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation in production support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement effective solutions.
• Investigate production issues and perform root cause analysis.
