Job summary

GCS seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability, scalability and performance across critical banking systems. This role blends hands-on SRE engineering with technical leadership, emphasising observability, automation and continuous improvement.

You will lead monitoring, incident management and RCA efforts while collaborating with architects and engineers to deliver robust solutions. The hybrid role requires strong scripting and cloud skills.

Qualifications

5+ years in SRE/Production/Platform Eng.
Strong SRE principles in production environments.
Programming/scripting in Python, Go, Java, C#, or Bash.
Experience with incident management and root cause analysis.
Strong observability and monitoring experience.
Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
Understanding of OS, networking, cloud infra and automation.
IaC and automation skills.
Strong communication and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure.
Apply SRE and software eng practices to improve reliability, availability and performance.
Monitor systems, manage incidents and lead complex troubleshooting and RCA.
Develop automation to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
Improve observability, monitoring, instrumentation and performance.
