Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Compliance Engineering SRE team. You will ensure production services remain healthy, automated, and scalable across cloud-native platforms.

Collaborate with engineering to improve reliability, implement monitoring, and reduce downtime while balancing feature velocity with stability. A strong background in SRE, programming, and ownership is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in SRE or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience with observability stacks, SDLC concepts, Linux development, and knowledge of algorithms/data structures.

Responsibilities

• Proactive management of production services: monitor availability, capacity and overall system health.
• Shaping software before go-live through system design reviews and capacity planning.
• Scale and evolve systems for reliability and performance.
• Practice blameless incident management and postmortems to drive improvements.
• Define and maintain SLIs/SLOs to quantify and manage service reliability.
• Automate toil and build self-healing capabilities to reduce manual work.
