Job description

Sr Partner Operations Manager, Partner Operations Management, Prime Video

Prime Video (PV) is a digital video streaming and download service that offers Amazon customers the ability to rent, purchase or subscribe to a huge catalog of content. Movies range from new releases to classic favorites, and PV also offers major television shows, entire seasons, and fast-follow content after airing on TV. Amazon’s video subscription offer service includes tens of thousands of movies and TV episodes selected from the full assortment available at Prime Video. In short, PV offers content in multiple formats and offer types for our customers to access and enjoy both their favorite shows and explore new titles.

The PV Partner Operations Management (POM) team is looking for a bright, customer obsessed, driven, and creative individual to join our team. POM is responsible for driving a world-class partner experience through enabling Partners to deliver assets of all varieties on-time, in full and at the PV quality bar.

As a Partner Operations Manager you will manage the operational performance of our third-party studios, content distributors and fulfillment vendors (collectively "partners"). You will drive long-term, strategic operational partnerships with our partners across the globe. In this role you will be accountable for timely and cost effective delivery of source materials from our partners. In addition, you will identify and drive delivery improvements through the use of reporting, data analysis, positive relationship building and innovative workflow enhancements. The ability to develop, own, and report on key performance metrics is critical.

This role will work with executive-level leadership within the streaming community, as well as cross-functional projects with internal and external stakeholders. Internal teams include content acquisition, vendor management, marketing, engineering, content processing, legal, finance, and accounting teams. External teams vary based on partner and may include marketing, rights management, IT, engineering, Localization, Compliance, and digital fulfillment operations teams.

In addition to account management, the Partner Operations Manager will own industry-leading content launches and expansion initiatives into new markets and business lines, and will conduct analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. In essence, Partner Operations Managers act as the general manager and own a partner’s operational experience on Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Consult and Advise Content Acquisition on partner capabilities and system requirements to ensure licensing deals will deliver the maximum ROI.
  2. Advocate on behalf of partners and internal business stakeholders to ensure PV systems provide a best-in-class user experience, making PV the preferred global platform for content providers.
  3. Distill insights on partner capabilities to advise and enhance business strategies such as new content and market launches.
  4. Establish steady-state publishing management mechanisms built for scale and growth.
  5. Manage complex escalations that may span across multiple business units.
  6. Drive long-term solutions through automation and innovations to complex workflows.
  7. Mentoring others and helping develop talent.

A day in the life
  1. Drive innovation in delivery and publishing capabilities by influencing external partners and internal stakeholders. Advocate on behalf of partners and internal business stakeholders to ensure Prime Video systems provide a best-in-class user experience, making Prime Video the preferred global platform for content providers.
  2. Define the digital supply chain road map, eliminate redundant process, gain alignment across multiple key stakeholders, and execute on goals.
  3. Design workflow strategies for accelerated content delivery in multiple languages, formats, and platforms, while simplifying and eliminating redundant practices.
  4. Distill insights on partner capabilities to advise and enhance business strategies such as new content and market launches.
  5. Write quarterly business reviews (and monthly business reviews) that are reviewed at leadership level.
  6. Contribute to or drive strategic initiatives and author documents independently.
  7. Manage complex escalations that may span across multiple business units, with active participation in meetings with Global teams during early/late IST hours.

About the team

Our mission is to make available to Prime Video customers the largest and highest quality, and most enriched catalog of video content anywhere in the world. We aim to create a friction-free self-service delivery experience that meets the needs of all studio partners regardless of size, budget, location, language, or technical capability. By doing so, we remove distribution limitations and level the playing field across studios, so every title is available to every customer worldwide and the best content wins.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
