This position reports to

Service Team Leader

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will execute service work according to work instructions, ABB quality, and safety guidelines. You will deliver quality customer service by planning and executing service tasks as per customer orders and expectations. You will also ensure customer retention by effectively communicating service timelines and expectations. The work model for this role is remote, contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in Northern Virginia. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with on-site customers to identify operational improvements and pain points.
  • Performing field service tasks, diagnosing technical issues, and analyzing problems remotely or on-site within your certified service categories.
  • Preparing material lists and ensuring availability of quality materials, parts, and equipment for service activities.
  • Training field service associates and customers when needed.
Qualifications for the role
  • Associates Degree or Technical School training
  • At least 5 years of experience servicing critical power equipment or equivalent education and experience.
  • Broad experience in Field Service or similar roles with focus on Critical Power Systems (UPS, Power Distribution, Static Switch, Battery, Power Conditioning).
  • Experience with Medium Voltage power conditioning and distribution equipment is a plus.
  • Work authorization to work for ABB in the US is required.
