Job description

The Sr Customer Service Technician will operate within our customer's facilities, performing maintenance tasks as per the Intelligrated contract. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our customer's distribution centers, involving troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of material handling systems. The technician will coordinate activities with other departments to ensure safety and satisfaction, representing Intelligrated onsite and adhering to customer guidelines.


You will report directly to the Regional Maintenance Manager and work full-time onsite at the customer location in Brantford, ON.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist other Technicians in repairing and maintaining distribution center equipment.
  2. Complete work orders, logs, and documents following established procedures.
  3. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools.
  4. Lead troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  5. Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and maintain a safe work environment.
  6. Operate material handling and powered equipment.
  7. Utilize TCPiP for troubleshooting and setup.
  8. Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment according to safety and quality standards.
  9. Troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic issues involving networks, PLCs, and I/O devices.
  10. Assist in developing technical and training documentation.
  11. Document customer support issues and collaborate with other departments for resolution.
  12. Participate in cleaning and maintaining work areas and inventory.
  13. Serve as a Technical Trainer for Customer Service Technicians.
  14. Analyze recurring issues and develop action plans.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Flexibility to cover multiple shifts and holidays.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed for training and development.
  • Act as CSS Site Supervisor when required.

This environment is a controlled goods program; candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.


Must have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 3+ years electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work shifts and travel extensively.
  • Valid Class G Driver's License.

Physical requirements include lifting, working at heights, standing for long periods, and wearing PPE.
