Job Description: Senior Automation Engineer

Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.

KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offers challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

Position Details:

• Role: Senior Automation Engineer
• Contract Duration: 6+ months
• Location: Leatherhead

On Offer:

• Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
• IR35 Determination - Highly likely to be outside, so engagement through an LLC is permitted

Responsibilities and Experience:

• Ensure the quality, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and completeness of work according to KBR I&C engineering principles, standards, procedures, codes, and ordinances.
• Provide training, technical, and administrative guidance to personnel within the discipline.
• Develop preliminary and final stage I&C design deliverables, including contributing to P&IDs, Instrument List, Instrument Specifications, and Data Sheets.
• Assist with design development for DCS, PLC, and SCADA-based process control systems.
• Evaluate and select instruments, control valves, and analyzers; review vendor documentation for compliance.
• Design process control and automation systems in line with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to develop control system concepts, architectures, and platforms.
• Prepare Material Take-Off (MTO) based on project scope and experience.
• Coordinate with end users and OEMs regarding automation products.
• Perform automation-related tasks such as I/O lists, instrumentation lists, and specifications.
• Awareness of Norwegian standards is preferred.
