Senior QA / Test Automation Engineer | Hedge Fund | London [On-Site] | Permanent

We are working with a top performing fixed income hedge fund in London that is at the cutting edge of combining a data driven approach with active portfolio management. The fund has had sustained success and has committed significant resource to building out their acclaimed quant and tech team.

The fund is looking to hire a dedicated Senior QA / Test Automation Engineer. This is a role with significant responsibility and wide scope, shaping the testing direction of the business going forward. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Spearheading the test automation and integration-level testing across UIs, backend systems and other front-office tools.
• Selecting and utilising testing tools and frameworks to establish a structured testing process and to promote best practice across the wider business.
• Acting as first technical point of contact for front-office users to provide comprehensive support and to act as a bridge between users and developers as well as other stakeholders.

The client would like to bring in someone who can take on immediate responsibility. Due to the nature and broadness of the role, the following is imperative:

• 5+ years of commercial experience in test automation / QA engineering within the financial services space. Experience in fixed income / on the buyside is highly beneficial.
• Demonstrable experience operating within a C#.NET ecosystem. Python is also heavily used in the front-office, so exposure there is supportive.
• Hands-on and pragmatic approach to work.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collegiate environment.
• Strong communication skills, especially in collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders across the business.
