Job summary

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client with a 12-month assignment for a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator in East Kilbride, hybrid with 60% onsite. The ideal candidate will hold an active security clearance and bring proven expertise in SQL Server 2019, Always-On availability groups, log shipping, PowerShell automation, and enterprise-scale HA/DR.

You will implement security controls, manage patches, and ensure TLS encryption across SQL Server

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in installing, configuring, and administering Microsoft SQL Server 2019.
• Experience developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts for automation.
• Extensive HA/DR experience, including Always-On and cluster environments.
• Experience with Log Shipping for disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of SQL Server security best practices, RBAC, AD integration.
• TLS/SSL certificates and encryption for SQL Server communications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support enterprise-scale SQL Server environments.
• Implement and test HA/DR solutions.
