Job summary

G MASS Consulting is seeking a SQL Server Developer to join the BI team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. You will create and maintain SQL Server objects for an in-house data warehouse, collaborating with business users and the BI team to deliver solutions.

The role offers hybrid working with 2–3 days in the City office; you will analyse requirements, troubleshoot issues and implement changes within release cycles, while supporting SharePoint and API initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience as a developer.
• Strong T-SQL knowledge and a good understanding of the SQL Server stack (SSRS/SSIS); SQL Azure preferred.
• C#, SharePoint, web development or API experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent Excel skills and confident communication with clients and colleagues.
• Degree in IT or mathematics is desirable; SQL Server experience may suffice.

Responsibilities

• Develop SSRS reports, maintain SQL Server objects and SSIS packages, and provide ad hoc data extracts.
• Collaborate with clients, business users and the BI team to analyse requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform BAU tasks to support clients and employees.
• Manage changes per release procedures, including source control, peer reviews and testing cycles.
• Provide technical support to SharePoint and web developers, including during absences.
• Help develop API and cloud computing capabilities for the business.
• Support onboarding of new clients, working to tight deadlines.
