Devonshire Hayes Recruitment Specialists Limited is seeking an experienced BI/SQL Developer for a 12-month fixed-term contract in the London area. The role focuses on SQL Server stack (SSRS/SSIS) with SQL Azure, requiring strong T-SQL and knowledge of C#, SharePoint, and APIs.

You will work in a hybrid setup with 2–3 days in the office and contribute to ongoing BI initiatives with keen attention to accuracy and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience as a developer.
• Good understanding of the SQL Server stack (SSRS/SSIS) and SQL Azure.
• Strong T-SQL knowledge; programming languages such as C# or SharePoint are a plus.
• Experience working with APIs and in a LIVE environment is desirable.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop BI solutions using SQL Server stack (SSRS/SSIS) and SQL Azure.
• Write efficient T-SQL queries; integrate with C#, SharePoint or related tech.
• Document analytics processes and maintain data quality.
• Collaborate in a LIVE insurance/financial services environment.

Job description

We are working with a leading organisation within the Lloyd's and London insurance market that is looking to recruit an experienced BI/SQL Developer on an initial 12 month fixed term contract.

You will be tasked with the following:

• A good understanding of the SQL Server stack, including SSRS, SSIS and preferably SQL Azure. With a minimum of five years' experience working as a developer.
• A good TSQL knowledge is essential. C#, SharePoint or other programming languages is an advantage, as is experience working with APIs.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills especially Excel. A good knowledge of SharePoint and / or web development would be an advantage.
• Some experience within an Insurance or Financial Services environment would be an advantage, but not essential. Experience working in a LIVE environment is also desirable.

This is a hybrid opportunity, you will be expected to attend the office 2-3 days per week.
