Job summary

Argus Fire is seeking a Sprinkler Service Engineer to join the service department. The role will support service and maintenance works across the Midlands, with coverage across large areas of the UK. You will service sprinkler systems, perform flow tests, and assist with installations as needed.

The ideal candidate has experience with wet, dry, alternate, deluge and pre-Action valve sets, understands electrical reporting, and holds a full driving licence. DBS clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing wet/dry/alternate/deluge/pre-Action valve sets.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain sprinkler valve sets across sites.
• Carry out 5-point flow tests on sprinkler pumps and conduct service checks.
• Support small works install where required.
• Report electronically and maintain records.
• Possess a full UK driving licence and DBS check where applicable.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally on site.

Job Title: Sprinkler Service Engineer

Location: The Midlands

Reports To: Service Department Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sprinkler Service Engineer to join our service department. This role will specifically support the service and maintenance works for RAF Mildenhall.

Responsibilities

This role would suit a Service Engineer, Multiskilled Engineer, Commercial Sprinkler Engineer, Sprinkler Service Maintenance Engineer.

• Must have experience in servicing all types of the following valve sets - Wet, dry, alternate, deluge and pre-Action.
• Must be able to carry out 5-point flow tests on sprinkler fire pumps and general service checks.
• Sprinkler Installation Level 2 qualified would be desirable but not essential.
• Plumbing / Piping Knowledge & fault finding on sprinkler systems – essential.
• Previous experience gained within Commercial / Industrial buildings environment.
• Experienced in small works install.
• Understanding and exposure to reporting electronically.
• Full driving licence
• DBS check
• Flexible approach to working hours and location, as will cover large area of the UK
• Ability to work unsupervised or in a team
• Professional, pleasant attitude and smart in appearance, capable of communicating diplomatically to strengthen customer relationships.
• Polite communication skills and ability to know when to escape problems
• IT literate as all jobs are booked on tablets
• Ability to problem solve and use own initiative when on site
• Be punctual and reliable
• Provide an excellent customer experience
