Job summary

Recruitment Helpline in Newark is seeking an experienced Spray Painter to join a well-established fabrication workshop. You will be responsible for preparation and painting, and assisting with assembly in a busy team.

Role requires working to deadlines, strict PPE, and adherence to health and safety; experience with 2-pack paints and forklift operation is desired; you will ensure high-quality finishes and maintain a clean, organised workspace.

Qualifications

• Experience in spray painting in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
• Proven experience with 2-pack paints is essential.
• Forklift licence is preferred.
• Good literacy and numeracy are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for painting, remove rust and scale by sanding/grinding.
• Degrease and wash products and prime to specified thickness.
• Top coat as per contract and inspect finishes for quality.
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace and follow PPE protocols.
• Operate forklift and assist with assembly as needed.
