Job summary

Willow Vale School is seeking a permanent Higher Level Teaching Assistant to deliver sports across multiple sites. The role involves off-site work mainly in Bridgwater, with travel to Taunton and Minehead campuses as needed.

The position is 37 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days). You will plan, lead and deliver activities under a teacher's direction, supporting learners who may have gaps in education and assisting with interventions and transitions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with students, staff and families.
• Awareness of safeguarding; training provided.
• Understanding of how children and young people learn.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and deliver a subject under the direction of a teacher.
• Support interventions and transitions for learners.
• Work across Bridgwater and Minehead campuses, and with mainstream schools.
