Job summary

Willow Vale School is seeking to appoint permanent Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join our Bridgwater and Minehead campus teams. The roles are term-time plus INSET days, 37 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with a salary dependent on experience (£24,816‑£27,821).

You will work across two sites supporting children with interventions and transitions, taking responsibility for planning, leading and delivering a subject under the direction of a teacher.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Awareness of safeguarding young people (training provided).
• Understanding of how children and young people learn.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
• Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and deliver a subject under teacher direction.
• Support interventions and transitions across sites.
• Work with learners who have gaps in education to re-engage learning.
