Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking a diligent Grounds Maintenance Operative/Greenkeeper to maintain outdoor spaces across Castle Point, with duties at Woodside Park in Benfleet. You’ll mow, trim hedges, plant, weed and prepare sports pitches while upholding safety and quality.

The role is 29 hours per week in winter, rising to 45 hours from April to September, with early start times. You’ll join a people-first team delivering reliable grounds services to housing, schools and public sector sites.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• PA1/PA6 pesticide licences would be desirable.
• Experience using gardening power tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures is important.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Mow and maintain grass areas, trim hedges, plant shrubs and flowers.
• Perform general grounds maintenance including debris/leaf clearance and litter removal.
• Prepare and renovate sports pitches (bowls croquet cricket pitch, football, rugby, tennis, MUGAs).
• Graffiti removal and seasonal works preparation (spring/fall).
• Ensure tools, equipment and materials are organised in advance for works.
