Job summary

University of Bath is seeking a Sports Assistant to oversee front-of-house operations across our sports facilities, supporting indoor and outdoor activities and events for students, staff, the local community and high-performance athletes.

You will learn and develop basic skills in a sporting environment, working alongside Olympic-level athletes and contributing to a professional, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Lifeguarding certification (NPLQ) required or obtainable via RLSS UK course.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to work varied hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lifeguarding.
• Setting up indoor and outdoor activities.
• Setting up events.
• Assisting with general enquiries from customers.
• Responding to ad hoc requests for support.
• Patrolling facilities and ensuring security, cleanliness, health and safety and emergency procedures.
