Job summary

Aspire People, working with a large SEND School in Stockport, SK2, are seeking Teaching Assistants with a sports coaching background to support identified pupils with SEMH needs.

This full-time role runs 08:20 to 15:30, Monday to Friday, term-time only, starting in September, with potential for permanent employment. You will join a supportive team, receive CPD and be part of safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sports Coach or Youth Worker with ability to engage pupils.
• Confidence supporting pupils who may display SEMH needs.
• Strong relationship-building skills with pupils who are resistant to education.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' engagement, emotional regulation and sensory needs.
• Deliver calm, confident support in a SEND environment.
• Collaborate with the school team to implement interventions.
