Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College is seeking an Assistant Manager – Sports Academy Operations to support the Head of Operations in daily facilities management, bookings and student/club activities on a 37.5-hour week. The role includes weekend shifts from 6:30am to 11:00pm and a permanent contract.

You will ensure high standards of health, safety and service, uphold compliance, and help grow business through effective customer engagement and operations planning.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising facilities, resources and staff in sport, leisure or fitness.
• Highly organised with excellent communication and customer service.
• Willing to work towards qualifications such as Gym Instructor Level 2 or First Aid at Work.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head of Operations in day-to-day management of Sports Academy facilities.
• Manage bookings, organise recreational activities and support business development.
• Ensure facilities are clean, safe and compliant, with maintenance checks.
• Lead on organisation of sports fixtures and coordinate with departments.
