Job summary

Sarens is seeking a SPMT Operator to join our team in the UK, working with the largest machines on major projects. You will be responsible for safe transport of loads, loading/unloading and assembling SPMTs, and ensuring all materials are ready for operation.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK, with on-site duties across the country and opportunities for training and career progression within Sarens Training Centre and external providers.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and assemble SPMTs and prepare materials for operations.
• Participate in on-site assembly/disassembly and assist with prep work.
• Contribute to safe transportation operations and monitor progress.
• Report issues and collaborate to resolve on-site problems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections as required.

Job description

Due to strong growth, we are looking for SPMT Operator’s with a fascination for heavy lifting and large machinery.

As a SPMT Operator you work with the largest machines on the largest jobs every day. You are responsible for the safe transport of loads on jobs in the UK. Together with the team, you load, unload and assemble the SPMTs and ensure that all other necessary materials are ready to carry out the job.

Successful candidates must have a full UK driving licence and proof of right to work in the UK.

Your Job As a SPMT Operator

• Loading and unloading equipment, performing assembly preparations and checking material.
• On-site assembly and disassembly; helping with further preparation work.
• Participating in operational progress during transportation operations.
• Reporting, discussing and solving ad hoc problems on-site.
• Performing technical maintenance work.

About You

We are looking for a team player who combines technical interest with a passion for large machines and outdoor work. For this, you must have logical insight, a sense of responsibility and an eye for safety, a can-do mentality, a flexible attitude and a keen interest in large machines, unusual projects and technology in general.

Requirements

• You have an active interest in your work and can take a critical look at the situation. If something is not clear or seems unsafe, you dare to initiate a stop and consultation procedure.
• A willingness to work throughout the UK.
• Flexible attitude towards tasks, working hours and locations.

You Must Have

• A full UK driving licence
