Job summary

Blackstone Education are partnering with an SEN Further Education College in Bromley to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist. The post supports assessment and intervention for students with SEND, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to plan individualised goals for communication, independence and participation.

The role anticipates ~70% clinical duties and ~30% team support, supervision, and leadership within the college’s Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications

HCPC registration with active status.
Experience delivering SLT interventions in educational settings.
Evidence of CPD and continuing professional development.
Membership of RCSLT or equivalent.
Experience working with young people with SEND and complex communication needs.
Knowledge of AAC and visual supports.

Responsibilities

Deliver SLT assessments and interventions for students with diverse communication needs.
Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to promote communication and participation.
Create goals to support EHCP outcomes and overall independence.
Collaborate with education staff and families to ensure consistency across settings.
Lead on safeguarding and promote student wellbeing within the MDT.
Support and supervise colleagues, contributing to team development.
Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HCPC standards.
