Job summary

Blackstone Education are working with an SEN Further Education College based in Bromley to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist, or SLT Assistant to support. The post involves assessing and intervening for students with SEND and leading a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses and assistants within the college setting.

You will support communication development, independence and prepare students for adult life, working closely with families, education staff and others.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and RCSLT membership are preferred.
• Experience with SEND, autism and learning disabilities is expected.
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver therapy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SLT assessments and interventions for students with a range of needs.
• Provide supervision and training to education staff and families.
• Lead multidisciplinary planning and EHCP reviews with the team.
• Maintain documentation in line with HCPC standards and safeguarding policies.
