Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to work across inpatient stroke and community SLT services. You will support adults with communication and swallowing difficulties, contributing to assessment, rehabilitation and discharge planning with a multidisciplinary team at Wycombe Hospital and in homes, care homes and outpatient settings.

The role offers regular supervision from senior SLTs, opportunities to develop dysphagia and communication

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree, degree apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist, or pending registration
• Registered member of RCSLT, or eligible for membership.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with communication and swallowing difficulties across inpatient stroke and community pathways.
• Work three days per week with the inpatient stroke team at Wycombe Hospital and two days per week with the community SLT team.
• Receive regular supervision and develop clinical skills in dysphagia and communication through structured supervision and training.
