Job summary

Kisimul Group Ltd. is recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist to join a new specialist school in Haverhill, Suffolk. The role focuses on person-centred, evidence-based therapy within a multidisciplinary team to support pupils aged 8–16, including those with autism and complex needs.

The successful candidate will deliver individual and group therapy, contribute to learning plans and work closely with education colleagues to embed therapeutic practice across the school.

Qualifications

• Professional registration with the HCPC as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Registration or membership with the RCSLT.
• Experience or strong interest in working with autistic people and those with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to reflective practice, supervision and continuing professional development.
• Compassionate and person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language and communication needs.
• Deliver personalised therapy and interventions for individuals and groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and carers.
• Contribute to EHCP outcomes and individual learning plans.
• Provide dysphagia assessment and management where trained.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports.
• Apply evidence-based practice to achieve positive outcomes.
• Contribute to clinical supervision and service improvement.
