Speech & Language Therapist

Full-time, permanent role

Hours: Monday - Friday, full-time

Location: Aylesbury

About the role:

Working in a private special school providing education and care for up to 176 young people with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), aged between 11-19.

The school is proud to have gained an Outstanding rating from Ofsted in September 2021 and holds the National Autistic Society Advanced Accreditation.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

• Assessment, treatment, and management of a wide range of language and communication difficulties
• Develop SLT care plans based on best practices, using direct and indirect models of delivery within an educational setting, evaluating the impact on individuals and considering barriers to activity and participation
• Train educational staff to incorporate specialist strategies and interventions into their practice, monitoring the effectiveness of training
• Communicate complex condition-related information from assessments to clients, carers, families, and the multidisciplinary team
