Job summary

Crofton Infant School is seeking a dedicated Speech & Language Teaching Assistant to support pupils with speech and language needs, helping them access learning and build confidence. You will work closely with teachers, the SENDCo and Speech & Language Therapists to deliver targeted interventions, support inclusion, and contribute to a caring, collaborative school community.

Hours are 8:40am to 3:10pm, term-time 38 weeks, with a focus on developing pupils’ communication and social skills within

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, ideally including speech and language needs.
• Caring, patient and able to build positive relationships.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, flexible and committed to inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils’ learning, wellbeing and social development
• Delivering speech and language interventions and monitoring progress
• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and inclusion
• Assisting with classroom activities, resources and assessments
• Liaising with staff and parents to support pupil progress
