Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

Responsible to: Multi-Disciplinary Lead

Location: To work across all sites used by FAW

Hours: 37 hours per week (8.30am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Finishing at 4pm one day per week). We would consider part-time hours.

Salary: KSF-KSG (equivalent to NHS Band 5-6) depending on experience; £30,404-£38,304 plus a Five Acre Wood allowance of £1,422.52. Salary is based on working a full year; working term-time only or part-time will result in pro-rated salary.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm (finishing at 4pm one day per week). This role can be full-year with 27 days annual leave or term-time only.

Job Purpose

• Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage your own specialist caseload of pupils, maintaining associated records.
• Provide specialist intervention and evaluate outcomes.
• Train and support carers of pupils and participate in relevant training for colleagues.
• Advise and provide clinical support on Speech & Language Therapy issues to staff and therapists across the curriculum.
• Supervise assistants, students, and other staff working with you.
• Ensure safeguarding of pupils and provide opportunities for all pupils to achieve within a child-centered curriculum.

Main Professional Duties

• Provide specialist advice to relevant parties.
• Deliver Speech & Language Therapy services.
• Maintain records, reports, and other documentation.
